My Due Date has Arrived!!!

Hello friends and family,
Kyle and I just got home from the Dr.'s office and I wanted to update you on my status. I am currently 1 centimeter dialated.....9 more to go until I am pushing . My official due date is tomorrow, 3/26/08, and I will be going in for a follow up on Friday to measure any progress. I am scheduled to go into the hospital on Monday at 7:30am to be induced, if I don't deliver before then. I have been feeling pretty good and making sure that I get out every day and walk at least a mile. The Dr. wants me to relax for the next few days in preperation for delivery. Cross your fingers that Mr. Zachary comes out before Monday as I am sooooooo ready for him to get out and would rather not have to be induced. Other than that, we will be at Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks. The maternity ward is on the 2nd floor and I believe the phone no. is (805) 497-2727 if you want to know what room I am in. Unless you hear from us earlier, Zachary's birthday will either be Monday, March 31st or Tuesday, April 1st....April Fools Day, depending on how long I will be in labor. You are welcome to stop by and meet our new arrival if you get a chance.

I couldn't resist!

Kyle and I went in to get a 3D/4D dvd of Zachary today. It was great and we get to take the dvd home to share with whomever is interested in checking it out. Anyhow, Zachary was all smiles and even has dimples! (I can't believe the detail you can see). Enjoy our baby's smile, we did!

Zachary at 31 weeks!!!

Hello friends and family,

Kyle and I had an ultrasound scan today to see Mr. Zachary's progression towards life. He is doing great in all measurements and size. Today he weighs approximately 3 lbs. 9 oz., which is average size for his gestation. We got to enjoy the ultrasound pictures in 3d/4d, which are a bit creepy, but cool. Both pic's above are of Zachary's cute face, we can't wait until his arrival! I am feeling good, but finding it more difficult to get around. I am loving the daily kicks and punches of my future son, especially the one's right on my bladder :-) Kyle and I have been going to childbirth classes every week and are learning all about labor and delivery, epidurals, baby poop, etc......too much fun, we have so much to look forward to. I look forward to seeing you all that can make this weekend's baby shower, it will be so much fun!

Happy Holidays!!!

I didn't have a chance to get a holiday letter out this year, but did manage to get our photo cards ready in time :-) Kyle just finished another class towards his master's degree in business (only 2 more classes to go!) and I have been busy working at my sister's company and getting my product lines out on a few websites. I figured since I don't have the energy to sell it, get other's to do it for you. Kyle and I had an ultrasound last week and were happy to hear all is still well and moving along. Zachary is now 2 lbs and growing. Unfortunately, Mr. Zach was moving around too much and the umbilical cord was over his face.....sooooo no updated ultrasound pic :0( I am moving into the 3rd trimester and am looking forward to setting up the nursery during this week off. We Hope you all have a Happy Holiday season and Happy New Year!

Mark your calendar's, the Baby Shower location has been booked for Sunday, January 27, 2008. My hostess's will be sending out invitation's at the end of December. I can't believe how fast this is all coming along! I went in for my monthly doctor's appointment this week and all is well. The baby is growing, I am growing and I am officially feeling the karate chops of Mr. Zachary. He is a kicker, a mover and a shaker......lucky me! Next month I go in for my 3rd trimester screening and will be able to have new ultrasound pictures to post, can't wait. Hope all is well and we wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving.

17 weeks, 2 Days ~ IT'S A BOY!!!

What a beautiful day! Kyle and I went in for our second trimester screening today and got to see the beautiful body part of our soon to be……………………………son, Zachary Liam McDougald. We are having a boy and of course he is perfect! His measurement’s are in line with his age and he is really, REALLY cute, well at least his profile and foot is. We are both very excited that another boy will be joining the family. As most of you know that Kyle is one of four boys and my sister has four boys. Everyone, I mean everyone said I am carrying a girl. I even went as far as doing all the online tests and checked the Chinese lunar calendar……don’t believe any of that stuff because it was wrong, wrong, wrong. 13 week cute baby!

Hello friends and family,
Kyle and I went to our new Dr. today. I decided to not go to the young chap that my previous Dr. suggested as I was not to comfortable going to someone that is so young. This decision brought me back to my original choice of a husband/wife team that has been in the Conejo Valley for a long time with a very good reputation. Actually, the wife of the team was my very first Dr., but with insurance changes, I no longer could go to her. Anyway, long story short, Kyle and I are both very happy with our choice.
Our appt. went very well :-) the baby was moving all over the place and the Dr. was pleased with how everything is coming along. He suggested that I get my first trimester screening as soon as possible since I am at the last week that you could get it. I called the specialist that does the screening and amazingly got in this afternoon. The specialist was also pleased with all the bone, brain, neck, etc....structures and believes that our baby is very healthy. A blood test was taken to see our chances of having a baby with downs syndrome, results to come shortly. I am not worried about it one bit since all was looking well and the Dr.'s were very positive for a good outcome. I really enjoyed seeing the specialist and getting those close up pic's of the baby, what a joy to see our new life being so active! We also got a special treat of a 3D ultrasound (above). The baby seems a little camera shy as he/she has the hands over the face. I can't believe how far along the technology in ultrasounds have come.
Our next appt. is in 5 weeks (Oct. 24th) and we will be able to find out what we are having, I can't wait! We have names picked out for both and would be equally happy with either sex....although my nephews have told me that they prefer I have a boy :-)
